Tonight at 9 pm ET on FOX pay-per-view, Errol Spence Jr headlines a four-fight card against Shawn Porter in a welterweight unification fight. The show will also have a pair of prelim bouts at 7:30 pm ET on FS1.
With four different champions currently holding gold, the welterweight division is stacked with some huge unification fights just waiting to be made. IBF champion Spence and WBC belt holder Porter are the first to pair off, with Manny Pacquiao (WBA) and Terence Crawford (WBO) also chasing more gold.
Spence comes off the back of an utterly dominant performance over Mikey Garcia in March, a win that extended ?The Truth?s? professional record to 25?0 having taken his IBF strap from Kell Brook two years ago.
Porter lost that very same title to Brook back in 2014 ? but rebounded to win a second world title after edging past Danny Garcia in August 2018.
Whoever comes out on top this weekend will hold 50 percent of the world championships at 147 lbs ? and take a major step to being crowned the best one of boxing?s most compelling division?s has to offer.
IBF Champion Errol Spence Jr is set to take on WBC Champion Shawn Porter in a welterweight fight that will unite the boxing division.
The bout will be available on Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event in the UK, and on Fox Sports Pay-Per-View in the US.
However, some may be tempted to turn to illegal streams.
A recent report from the Industry Trust for IP Awareness, the UK?s film, TV and video industry?s consumer education body, revealed the extent of online piracy when it came to major sporting events, with figures suggesting illegal streaming has hit ?peak levels? in 2019.
