I really do believe it is more important to please yourself than others ? even though many do it backwards. They think if only they are pleasing enough to others they will have a happy life.
It might seem selfish or self centered but it?s not.
It?s smart.
I think it?s the only way to have a fulfilling life.
Others will leave you. Others will say they are on your side.Others will run.Others will misinterpret you and your motives.Others will say they are there for you but won?t be.Others will judge you.Others will betray you.Others will die.
YOU are the only one you will be with for the rest of your life ?
Until you are an old grey wrinkly person you will be with YOU so, being your own best friend, confidant ,cheerleader is IMPERATIVE in my opinion!

Think of your breath.It is always there. It always will be. No one else will be able to breathe for you.
Your breath is your own. Learn to use it. Meditation helps.
I love doing breathing meditations to ground myself in me.
Why do you think so many spiritual meditative practices talk about breathing and the importance of it? It connects you to you. That sounds trivial but I think it is most profound.
I?ve learned that to connect with ?me? is the key to everything.
I?d much prefer to feel good about MY intentions, motivations, and reactions then what others might THINK.
Many times others are wrong.
I?ve even heard it said that we should give ourselves 51% and others 49%. I think the percentage should be higher towards ourselves.
Others will benefit from this too.
If you try to please everyone you?ll end up pleasing no one so you might as well focus on pleasing yourself.
