Turn on Developer Mode on ChromeBook

Chrome OS Developer mode is a special mode built into All Chromebooks which allowing users and developers to access the code behind the Chrome Operating System and load their own builds of ChromeOS. This mode also allows you to install dual-boot or another Linux system like Ubuntu that runs parallelly with Chrome OS.

The common steps to turn on Developer Mode on Chromebook are:

  1. Turn off your ChromeBook
  2. Holding Esc + Refresh (F3) buttons while pressing Power button. Then release Power Button.
  3. Your screen will display Recovery screen. Here, press Ctrl+D to turn on Developer mode. Then wait for couple of minutes.
