Top 10 Strongest, Most Powerful Jedi of All Time

Who Were the Strongest Jedi of All Time?

I?m a huge Star Wars fan, and I often asked myself this question. Grading the strongest Jedi and comparing them against each other is hard, but it is a task I have enjoyed.

It took me countless hours, but I came up with my list, and I?m sharing it with you. It is possible that you don?t know a lot of these Jedi because they are from several different Star Wars eras, and some of them don?t appear in the movies.

It is also probable that you don?t agree with this order. If so please leave me your order of choice in the comment section, so I can take a look.

A Jedi?s strength may derive from his or her mastery of the lightsaber or the Force-both things a Jedi must master with care in order not to fall to the dark side.

Listing the strongest Jedi, we will be!

10: Jacen Solo

Everybody liked Han Solo, and every geek has a poster of Princess Leia in her slave outfit. Well, Jacen Solo is their son.

Assassins, kidnappers, and burglars targeted Jacen, born on the planet Coruscant, from a very young age because his parents were so famous. When Jacen turned thirteen, he and his sister, Jaina Solo, started to train with their uncle, Luke Skywalker, toward becoming Jedi.

Their brother, Anakin Solo, who did not train to be a Jedi, fought in a war against a race called the Vongs, who nearly destroyed the new Republic. Anakin fought without his brother?s aid because Jacen was against violence and refused to fight. However, Jacen did agree to join an assassination force with his brother. When his brother was killed on that mission, Jacen was forced to become the leader, kill his enemies, and come back mourning all the way.

After that particular incident, Jacen Solo was captured by the Vongs and who held him hostage and tortured him for a year. Jacen fell to the dark side of the Force.

He managed to escape captivity and joined with the Jedi again, but his vision was blurry, and he had already fallen. He had a vision that if he didn?t join the Sith, he would kill Luke, and the galaxy would fall into chaos, so he became a Sith to prevent that future.

He was the one that killed Luke Skywalker?s love, Mara Jade. He tortured his apprentice Ben and continued down the road becoming Darth Caedus.

Fate had it that he would be killed by his twin sister Jaina, his former companion.

9: Ki-Adi Mundi

Ki-Adi Mundi was a Cerean who was always highly regarded by the Jedi Council. He even sat on the council before being a Jedi Master-one of the few to ever experience this honor!

His species is known to have a spectacularly low birth rate, so Ki-Adi Mundi was allowed to get married by the Jedi Council. He then gathered up five different spouses and eventually had seven children. This is one point in Ki-Adi Mundi?s favor (joking, I didn?t weigh this one).

Master Ki-Adi Mundi always played a huge role in wars and was on the front lines of every battle; he fought in the clone wars and almost died at the hands of General Grievous.

Ki-Adi Mundi dueled the famous dark Jedi-knight assassin Asajj Ventress and led countless assaults on his enemies. In the battle of Cerea, his entire family was murdered, which made Ki-Adi Mundi even more committed to his cause.

He always entered violent battles with his troops? complete loyalty. He often emerged from the chaos unarmed, and he was one of the only Jedi Masters to begin training while no longer a child (which makes his seat on the Council before becoming a master all the more remarkable). For all of this, he deserves a spot on this list.

8: Kit Fisto

A powerful Jedi knight and one of the order?s greatest generals, Kit Fisto led the armies of the clones against the droid army-but where he becomes invincible is underwater. His underwater lightsaber skill and dexterity are legendary and a real beauty to gawk at.

General Grievous crossed paths with Kit Fisto once, and Fisto almost killed him-but Grievous captured Nahdar Vebb, Kit?s apprentice, and blackmailed him.

On his last evening alive, the great General and Legendary Swordmaster Kit Fisto and Mace Windu went to arrest Senator Palpatine-Darth Sidious.

Only against this Sith Lord did Kit Fisto perish, and he died fighting for what he believed.

7: Plo Koon

Remember Master Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn? Well, Plo Koon was one of his closest friends and allies.

He started his Jedi life as a Guardian, but he wasn?t mediocre at all, he was one of the orders? greatest fighters ever! Whenever there was a mission that called for a Jedi who could beat overwhelming numbers and do the work of an elite task force alone with his lightsaber skills, Plo Koon was always the chosen one.

Plo Koon was a general in the Clone Wars and even a combatant in the Stark Hyperspace Wars (not related to Tony Stark, of course). The Jedi Masters wanted Plo Koon to join the council, but he refused because he wanted someone he thought to be a greater mind to join-Qui-Gon Jinn.

He joined the Jedi Council later on.

Master Tyvokka and Plo Koon were the best starfighters and were always chosen to partake in dangerous missions. On one of these missions, Tyvokka was shot down and killed, and Plo Koon rallied all of his forces and led his fleet towards a miraculous victory. This success gave him the honor of being a Hero of the Republic.

While his friends Ki-Adi Mundi and Kit Fisto commanded the ground troops, he commanded the air force. Unfortunately, the titan never had a fair fight, since Senator Palpatine ordered the Republic?s troops to shoot down Plo Koon?s fighter, eliminating the threat.

6: Nomi Sunrider

Nomi Sunrider was married to a Jedi apprentice named Andur. When they were on a trip, they were ambushed by a slimy Hutt?s soldiers who wanted the crystals the apprentice was carrying. Nomi watched as the soldiers assassinated her husband, then picked up his lightsaber-she was to become the strongest female Jedi of all time!

She fought against one of the greatest, in my opinion, the greatest-Sith Lords of all time: Exar Kun. She severed another great Sith Lord?s connection to the Force using her immense power and was vital in ending the Great Sith War.

She became the Headmaster of the Jedi Order and rebuilt it because it was in pretty bad shape. Nome Sunrider lived millenniums before the movies, but her story lived on through Jedi Books and tomes of knowledge.

5: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ben Kenobi, the old guy from the movies, is the same as Obi-Wan Kenobi-this, I?m sure, you knew. You also probably knew that Obi-Wan Kenobi is one of the most popular Jedi in Star Wars history. Did you know that he deserved to be number five in this list though?

He was the master of both Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker, and he was the first Jedi in one thousand years to defeat a Sith Lord in one-on-one combat! He fought and defeated Darth Maul, the Sith that killed his master, Qui-Gon Jinn.

He was also one of the last members of the High Jedi Council.

Ki-Adi Mundi, the Jedi General we talked about earlier, was almost killed by General Grievous ? and Obi-Wan Kenobi dueled and killed him, no sweat. He survived Order 66, the Jedi extermination in the video I showed earlier, and he made the hard decision to attack the Dark Lord Vader, Anakin Skywalker, his lost apprentice.

After a battle of epic proportions, Obi-Wan Kenobi defeated a Sith Lord in one-on-one combat yet again and left him to die. He then took the Sith?s son, Luke Skywalker, to hide and later taught him the ways of the Force, to fight Darth Vader and Darth Sidious.

Darth Vader dueled Obi-Wan again, but this time Obi-Wan was old and tired. Obi-Wan used his death as an opportunity to encourage Luke to fight with a motive. He became one with the Force, and even after death, he guided Luke to Yoda and acted as an advisor throughout Luke?s life.

4: Mace Windu

Before he gave the title to Master Yoda, Mace Windu was the Master of the Jedi Order. He was one of the best lightsaber masters ever and even created the seventh form of lightsaber combat, called Vaapad. Notice that he was the only practitioner of this fighting style that never, ever fall to the dark side.

He killed Jango Fett, the legendary bounty hunter, and was a great general, considered by everyone to be the best Jedi lightsaber duelist that ever lived.

His iconic purple lightsaber was colored by a rare crystal that gave it that color. The powerful Sith Lord Count Dooku escaped Mace Windu after Mace dueled him and won.

Kit Fisto was with Mace Windu on his final night-they went to arrest Darth Sidious and Sidious killed Kit Fisto, dueling Mace Windu after. When Mace Windu had almost won, Anakin Skywalker betrayed him, and the Great Jedi Master died by treachery.

3: Revan

Recognized by the Jedi Order as an amazing military strategist, Revan extremely charismatic and influential. He was the poster child Jedi: a hero and a champion. The Mandalorians, a race of extremely hard combatants (extinct by the movie eras) called him the Butcher.

Revan was a great Sith Lord, but the Jedi Order captured him and cleaned his memory, so they could use this formidable warrior for their own cause. This was something the Jedis had never done before and shows you the respect they had for Revan.

Revan fell in love with Bastilla, and together they faced Revan?s apprentice, the new Sith Lord Malak. Revan invaded countless Sith bases, butchered infinite numbers of Sith soldiers, and killed dozens of Sith Apprentices and Masters until finally, he killed Darth Brandon-Malak?s apprentice.

Darth Malak captured Bastilla and converted her to the dark side of the Force, but Revan wouldn?t give up on love, dueling her and defeating her. She then asked him to turn to the dark side with her and assume his true identity. Raven refused and went on to kill Malak. Bastilla regained her senses for love and fought by the Republic as well.

Revan was declared a Hero of the Republic.

2: Master Yoda

This small guy was the Master of the Jedi Order and Leader of the Jedi Council the longest. Yoga trained a lot of Jedi, and he was known for his mastery of the Force and skills with lightsabers and vibroblades.

Even knowing that he had immense power, Yoda chose to teach the younglings and be a master, making the youngest of the orders receptive to knowledge and experience. He dedicated his whole life to teaching rather than fighting.

The ultimate Sith Master, Darth Sidious, dueled Master Yoda, but Yoda couldn?t beat him. He escaped, saying, ?Into exile, I must go. Failed, I have??

1: Luke Skywalker

Luke was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and fought for the Rebels, representatives of the Republic. He became a Galactic Civil War hero, and he was also a stellar X-Wing pilot.

Luke destroyed the first Death Star, a severe blow to the Empire, and he invaded the station to stop the Empire from developing the second Death Star. During this mission, Vader caught him and brought him to the Emperor, Darth Sidious.

Sidious ordered them to fight each other and watched in delight as son fought father. Luke won and refused to turn to the dark side. Darth Sidious then used Force Lightning on Luke, but Vader turned to the light when he saw his son suffering, killing Sidious and dying shortly after.

After this, Luke founded a new Jedi Order and started training Jedi, becoming Grand Master.

Later, when Luke?s nephew, Jacen Solo, killed Luke?s love, Mara Jade, he struggled to understand why Jacen had fallen to the dark side. Luke was always labeled as invincible.

He could see the future and had abilities that no other Jedi ever had.
