Everyone loves emojis, but the ones that come with iPhone can be a bit bland and unoriginal. Or is that truly the case? Turns out, there is a secret, hidden emoji keyboard in your iPhone that you can access by changing just a few keyboard settings.
To be honest, these emojis aren?t necessarily a secret, they?re just part of the Japanese keyboard. If you enjoy finding hidden iPhone features, check out a few more that we wrote about here!.
To access cool iPhone keyboard emojis such as ( ? ?? ?) and many more, follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Select ?General?
- Select ?Keyboard?
- Select ?Keyboards?
- Select ?Add new keyboard?
- Find and select ?Japanese?
- Select ?Kana?
Voila! Now when you open your keyboard in any text field, select the globe icon (bottom left) and then select the Japanese symbols (also bottom left). This will bring up the Japanese keyboard. Select the ^-^ key (bottom left) and in the text suggestions field, you will see various emojis appear. To expand this list, just tap the ^ key at the top right of the keyboard.
Among these fun iPhone emojis, you will find the familiar Lenny face, owo, and many more.
