In today?s post I?m going to be giving an honest review of what I thought about the new Miami Cola flavored Bang. The past few Bang flavors including Frose Rose, Birthday Cake Bash, and now Miami Cola, Bang has rolled them out as a mystery flavor and teased us on social media in anticipation of the release.
I thought Frose Rose was great, Birthday Cake Bash was unique, and while probably not something I?d drink on a regular basis it was definitely good, and they nailed the Birthday Cake flavor.
The newest release from Bang Energy, Miami Cola, was paying tribute to their hometown or home base of South Florida. I think many of us Bangsters were expecting something tropical, maybe an organge flavor, a Miami Vice or Miami Vice flavor, or possibly even a Mojity or Dacquiri. Many of us were surprised to see a cola. We explained in our previous post what a Miami Cola is. A Miami Cola is a cola with hints of Orange and Cherry, some describe it was being similar to a really sweet root beer while others describe it as a cream soda.
So what did I think of the new Miami Cola flavored Bang? If I?m being completely honest I was disappointed. I will say however that I?m not a Cola drinker to begin with. I could probably count on one hand the number of sodas I?ve had in the past 3 years, so I?m probably not the target demographic either.
To me Miami Cola tastes like a regular old cola. I personally didn?t catch any hints of orange or cherry, nor would I compare it to either root beer or cream soda. After taking a sip, I did catch a hint of that artificial sweetener after taste that a diet soda leaves you with, which is odd because I?ve always been pleasantly surprised that Bang in general didn?t have that chemical aftertaste behind any of their energy drinks despite having zero calories.
Again, personally I?m not a fan, but then again, I?m not a soda drinker either. We had a tasting here at the office and a few of the guys were raving about how tasted delicious and it?s the best Bang they?ve tried to date, so opinions vary. If you?re a fan of Coke, Pepsi, or Soda in general, you?ll probably love Miami Cola. If you?re not really a soda drinker it?s probably not your thing. Personally, me, I?ll stick to drinking Starblast, Sour Heads, and Peach Mango Bangs, as those are my favorites.
