If you?re anything like me, it?s difficult to study to music that has words.
If anything, I prefer to study in complete silence or instrumental music, which usually comes in the form of movie soundtracks, old classical music, and youtube videos. One day, the night before ? or honestly, 3:00am the morning of ? a final, I was buried in stray pieces of study guides and open textbooks, with overheating computers and ramen noodles balancing on top.
My friend claimed she had ?ran out of music to play.? (Yeah, I don?t know either). While I processed this astonishing statement, I also opened up Apple Music to play The Social Network soundtrack, from start to bottom, so that I wouldn?t have to worry about music for the next hour and a half.

One of my favorite movies to date, The Social Network came out in 2010 with a grammy-award winning score. Produced by Trent Reznikor and Atticus Ross, two names that will appear in the development of various movie soundtracks (including The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), this playlist takes is equipped with slow, melodramatic songs such as the widely popular ?Hand Covers Bruise,? as well digital, futuristic vibes on classical songs like ?In The Hall of The Mountain King.?
What soon dawned on me is that everyone doesn?t listen to musical scores of their favorite movies, even though they are hidden gems that are great for background music. Here are some more that I frequently listen to, if not classical music or just white study noise.
