Longer video files are often big, meaning it?s difficult to transfer them between desktop and mobile. If you edit a video from your computer, you can upload it directly to IGTV rather than needing to send the file to your phone and uploading it to the native app.
Unlike regular Instagram, IGTV makes it very easy to upload from a desktop computer or laptop.
Step 1: Go to Instagram.com
Open Instagram?s web client and sign in the account you want to publish an IGTV video to. Then, click on the IGTV tab underneath your Stories.
Step 2: Upload your video
Click the Upload button and Drag/Drop your video file into the area on the left. You can then fill out your Cover frame, Title, and Description. Click ?Post? to add it to your IGTV channel!
That?s all! Being able to post from desktop means that video editors like Kapwing are more accessible. Make sure to add subtitles to your clip before you post!
