Retail: Amazon

Projects drive innovation at Amazon and BrightWork is a driving engine in the Amazon way of Project Management. In this video, Dave Berrier, Senior Manager, Amazon Projects, explains how BrightWork increases visibility, helps with task tracking, and enables different groups to manage projects their way.

Amazon started their BrightWork journey with the Free SharePoint Project Management Template. In just 3 years, Amazon has grown to 300 different groups using BrightWork across 30 countries, with more than 28,000 active users.

Healthcare: Siemens Healthineers

Siemens Healthineers manage 100+ projects of differing types (operations, new product development) at any given time. Prior to implementing BrightWork, work was tracked using standard SharePoint lists and sites. They wanted to leverage the platform further to create a more robust system for managing each project successfully.

Siemens Healthineers deployed the BrightWork Project Lite, Project Standard and Project Structured templates to manage projects of varying size and type. With these templates, each project is initiated in a consistent way, creating better visibility.

Milestone Trend Analysis ? tracking progress against milestones ? is especially important to project management at Siemens Healthineers. Using BrightWork, project managers can clearly see the history and evolution of Project Milestones. If they find their milestones are slipping, they can then take the necessary steps to get them back on track. Read the full case study here.

Manufacturing: Triumph Group

Founded in 1993, Triumph Group is a global leader in aerospace manufacturing and overhauling aerospace structures, systems, and components.

In 2016, Triumph Group embarked on a company-wide transformation, which led to the centralization of processes and systems. The impact on project management was significant, leading to the creation of a Project Management Office.

Initially, this PMO used SharePoint 2010 to capture different projects underway, providing a better understanding of the portfolio of projects. However, the PMO soon outgrew SharePoint as a stand-alone project management tool. The team opted to deploy BrightWork for numerous reasons including integration, automation, and existing SharePoint expertise within Triumph.

Since implementing BrightWork, Triumph Group has experienced several benefits including better governance, improved visibility, and better reporting. Follow the full story here.

Finance: Camden National Bank

Camden National Bank formed their Office of Project Management (OPM) in 2014 after experiencing a period of exponential company-wide growth. Previously, projects were managed independently by each business unit with various tools and documentation in place.

Camden National Bank was already been using SharePoint site, but the sites were not consistent. In 2014, the OPM deployed BrightWork on a small scale for IT and operations. In 2015, BrightWork was used extensively during the acquisition of The Bank of Maine.

Since deploying BrightWork, the OPM has implemented portfolio dashboards, standardized templates, and improved team communications. Over 60% of unnecessary project documentation has been eliminated, with the aim of eliminating 100%. Learn more here.
