I?ve been recently approached by a journalist and asked to provide some Promo Codes for my UVI Mate ? UV Index and Sun Safety app. And what a surprise was to understand I have no idea how to do that. So there is my quick guide how to generate and redeem iOS apps Promo Codes in 2018 for a new App Store!
Generate Promo Codes
To generate promocodes for your iOS app
- Log In with your Apple ID on https://appstoreconnect.apple.com (previously known as iTunes connect)
- Tap on My Apps and go to the app you want to generates some codes to.
- Choose Features tab
- Head on to Promo Codes section.
- Select how many promocodes you want to create and put it into the Number field under the App Promo Codes table. Remember that you could only generate 100 codes for each app?s version.
- Click on Generate Codes
That?s it! Now you will receive a confirmation letter from Apple with some disclaimers for your international users. Don?t confuse that letter attachment with the actual promocodes! They are not in the PDF!
So where is my Promo Codes?
- Go back to Promo Codes page and
- tap on History Tab.
- Here you?ll see the View Codes link
Tap on the link and you?ll see your iOS App Promo Codes list! Hurray!
How to redeem the iOS App Promo Code?
Ok. Now you have promo codes. After you?ll pass them to the hands of your users I?ll bet the next thing you?ll hear is a question ? ?But how to redeem it?? Fear not. It?s really easy. On your users iPhone:
- Open App Store
2. Open your account page (click on your avatar)
3. Click on Redeem Gift Cards or Code
4. Click on You can also enter your code manually and enter the Promo Code our have!
5. Wait a second and enjoy your free app!
That?s it! Now you?ve successfully generated and redeemed promo codes for your iOS App.
