Bush had freedom fighters, Obama wants a youth corps.  Even old ladies are for it (watch this Youtube video) and Starbucks!  That Samson of a company is giving a free "tall coffee" to all who sign up for BHO's community service programs.  What are these seemingly benign opportunities to "help society" all about?  In the video below, Obama calls for national service from America's youth "in return for a college education."  This has been the golden promise of military recruitment, too ... Will Obama simply offer a range of attractive "venues" for this required commitment, and will the State get its chance to vaccinate, program and alter every 18- to 25-year-old American during this time?

This next video shows Obama talking "off the cuff" -- meaning that it is not a speech or a scripted delivery.  Interesting to watch his hand gestures, listen to the rhythm of his words (very different from the large-audience setting), and to read between the lines of what he says.  Yes, it sounds great that the government will award a $4000 tuition credit to each college student for return service, and yes, this country could use the help of a spirited youth force cleaning up what's "broken."  But how will that exchange play out?  What will our youth experience while in the hands of the government?

This youth "service contract" is echoed by Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel (watch YouTube video).  Sounds very "reasonable" (and not too painful), until you remember that our buddy Israel conscripts its youth into the military, turning out emboldened male and female soldiers.  Who needs a draft when you have three months to mold them any way you want?  BHO makes it sound like mere good-old-fashioned social work (like HE did before joining the high-class muckety-mucks on Wall Street), but maybe it's good old-fashioned ... socialism.  (Read this rather curious essay entitled "The First Time I Heard of Barack.")
