The Independent Thinker's Income Tax Fact Sheet |
|

See full-size card. In the tradition of the popular "Independent Thinker's 9/11 Fact Sheet," now comes "The Independent Thinker's Income Tax Fact Sheet" (also available as a downloadable flyer). Fact 1: The income tax is an EXCISE tax, not a DIRECT tax. It applies only to revenue in which the federal government has a direct ownership interest. (In other words, federally connected money.) We recommend that you buy these postcards and circulate them widely. It is important for us all to get educated. What people choose to do thereafter is up to them. Order postcards here.
Breaking from misinformed tradition, especially when one has heard horror stories of houses being taken and people being thrown in jail, is not easy. Understanding the parameters of the law (to what it is limited and to whom it pertains) will make all the difference. Read "Cracking the Code" and visit www.LostHorizons.com website, where you will find a vast amount of information deconstructing the myth of obligatory income tax.
Begin your own gradual and enormously freeing re-conditioning!
1. Take it slowly. Buy the book! Form a small group.
2. Understand the book. Talk about it and the CONCEPT it describes. Pete says many people need to read the book more than once.
3. Take a look at other people's filings (tax returns) posted on the many Victory Pages at Pete's website (LostHorizons.com).
4. Visit the Lost Horizons Forum. Spend some long hours on Pete's website (LostHorizons.com) and absorb information. You are in a de-conditioning and re-conditioning process. You have a lifetime of erroneous belief to correct.
5. Go through the process with someone else. It's not easy to do this alone, especially if you are intimidated by "taxes" at all. Most people leave the number-crunching to CPAs and licensed tax preparers. Licensed preparers follow IRS rules and training. The point of "Cracking the Code" is to educate you as to what is truly lawful and what isn't. You will no longer be intimidated!
6. Though the CONCEPT of "Cracking the Code" is clear and even simple, the process of changing your tax-filing style may be psychologically very difficult. Start early! Don't wait until April.
7. Remember that EACH YEAR IS A SEPARATE EVENT. If you filed conventionally last year, it doesn't mean the IRS will necessarily compare your current filing with your old ones. The point of the 1040 annual return is that it states YOUR LEGAL TESTIMONY as to your "taxable activities" for that particular year.
8. Your testimony, for each year, is what counts.
9. Go to the "Help" and "FAQs" page on Pete's website. Read "Every Which Way But Loose." The "Income Tax Flow Chart" Pete provides is another helpful tool.
10. Don't wait until March or April to get started. Undoing your old conditioning is a long, psychological process. Read the book now. Give yourself lots of time to think, talk to others, and get used to this new (and lawful!) way of thinking.
